A quote from successful business icon, Henry Ford says that "A man who stops advertising to save money is like a man who stops a clock to save time".
I believe that all the entrepreneurs out there are looking forward to looking into for what he has done to his company back then to survive longer in a particular industry.
First and foremost, as time is indefinite continued progress of events, it is clearly understood that the time cannot be adjusted nor changing its pace as we like to. That is why time considered as 'gold' and cannot be purchased if we wanted to. So, imagining if the time wasted, we probably could be the dumbest person in century because we keeping to lose the gold. Don't you guys think so, too?
In addition, the fact that time is indefinite, obviously it cannot be shifted. Instead of cut the advertisement effort off the board just to save the money, why not we sit for brainstorming to ensure that we fully utilized the 'gold'? What I am suggesting here is to plan, develop, execute and evaluate a strategy or any efforts following the current changes especially towards to new media platform.
One of the efforts in planning, developing, executing and evaluating process is how the brands succeed in their marketing strategy which is advertising. The questions are to what extent the company take advertising in such efforts to advertise their own brands or products.
An advertisement does matter to acknowledge the audience or the targeted consumers so that they are aware of the existed products or services that might meet their needs and wants for their living. Furthermore, an advertisement not just helps in exposing the brands, but its also can be a great opportunity for the company in expanding their products or services in the current market.
Thus, my personal opinion says one should not stop advertising because we do deserve the acknowledgement. In fact, advertising do give a lot of benefits to both parties in the long-term, either the organizers or the consumers.
So, be brave, be responsible and understands on what you want!
